The first time landing on this strip was on smaller 8.50 tires, it was still manageable with half-filled tanks of fuel. With the installation of 31" tires has made a performance difference, as the tires just float on the top of the rough off-airport surfaces. It is a great place to start getting the feel for the softer places to land/taxi.
