    Grasshopper Strip

At the base of the Marcus Baker Glacier you will find the Grasshopper Creek feeding the teal blue glacial river into the Grasshopper Canyon where several strips are located, the main strip sits on the east side of the river.  The southeast approach will bring you up the canyon with a tight base-to-final turn over the river, the strip sits on the top on a 40' bluff and is about 20'x1700'. The strip is very rough, to some it might resemble more of  a four-wheeler trail, but here in Alaska it's a great spot to land and eat a snack while enjoying the peacefulness of Alaska.
